Gender Affirming Hormone Therapy (or GAHT) is the use of hormones for gender affirmation in transgender, nonbinary, and gender nonconforming people. This may include estrogen, testosterone, or more medications to help align your body’s features with your gender identity. Currently, our clinic can only see patients who are at least 18 years old and live in Washington state.
What does GAHT include?
- Feminizing Hormone Therapy
- Masculinizing Hormone Therapy
Additional Services
- Consultations and visits with our pharmacist providers
- Resources for social and mental health support
- Consider STI testing/treatment, PrEP, vaccines, and more
What do visits look like?
After we receive your new patient form, we will call you to schedule two initial visits. At the first visit, we will get your medical history, talk about your goals for gender affirmation, get blood work, and discuss impacts of hormone therapy. At the second visit, we will address further questions about hormone therapy and if you would like to start or continue with hormone therapy, we will ask you to sign an informed consent, provide you with a prescription (if needed), and additional counseling on medications. At follow up visits, we will continue to talk about your goals, any side effects or concerns, and get blood work.
